!!! NOTE !!!....... WE ARE SHOWING HOW TO MOUNT WITH A SET OF SADDLEBAGS THAT HAVE BEEN PAINTED FIRST, BUT IT IS BEST TO FIT YOUR SADDLEBAGS FIRST, AND THEN REFINISH. PLEASE EMAIL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS . WE' RE GLAD TO HELP.
After removing the factory bolts from your rear fender rail, install the docking posts that came with your ghost brackets
or ( easy brackets ) as shown in the picture. (Tip for you) it will be best if you remove one factory bolt and install one docking post at a time. This will keep your inner fender in line.
Once you have tighten both docking post, test fit your bracket.
After test fitting your bracket, check to see if it slides on easy, if
not you might need to loosen the docking post and then reinstall the bracket. With the bracket in place you can then, (through the access hole) retighten the docking post. Then recheck, and adjust until you're satisfied.
With your bracket installed on your bike, have a friend hold your saddlebag up to the bracket, and position it in the desired location. Once you're satisfied with the look, you can then mark the outside of the saddlebag with masking tape. Then lay your saddlebag on a work table, and lay your bracket inside the area you marked with tape, and mark your holes for drilling.
With your holes marked and with the correct size drill bit, ( its best to predrill with a smaller bit first ), drill the four holes to mount your bracket .
With your holes drilled, mount your bracket to your saddlebag.
Now with all of the bolts tightened, you're ready to install the saddlebag to the docking post.
Now with your "DYER'S SADDLEBAGS" installed, you're ready for the road. But, get ready for the questions, -- WHERE EVER DID YOU FIND THOSE SADDLEBAGS ?-- As always Ride Safe.
Brackets will need to be purchased from a dealer of your choice.
